Trade Approval

The trade approval option lets you determine how your league will handle a trade once it has been approved by all involved parties.

The issue is: once an agreement on a trade has been reached, should that transaction simply occur, meaning the players involved swap teams immediately? Or should there be some sort of review and voting process to help prevent collusive trades?

For your league, you may choose to either use a peer review process or use no review process.

Peer review and voting
When your league uses the peer review process, each time an agreement on a trade is reached, the trade enters a 24-hour review process. A notice is sent to all league members, who are each asked to review the trade and enter an objection if they so desire. If 50% of the teams not involved in the trade object to a particular trade, that trade is rejected and the involved players do not change hands.

We recommend the peer review process for all leagues, because it provides some protection against collusive or otherwise dubious trading activities.

No review process
If your league uses no review process, all trades that are agreed upon by all parties occur immediately. Players exchange hands on the spot, and no opportunity for peer review is given to the rest of the league.
